Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm
Pay Rate: $28.00/Hour to start
Days: Monday-Friday
Essential Functions:

  1. Primary responsibilities:
  • Ensures operation of, machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Troubleshoots production issues to eliminate downtime and makes repairs in a timely manner to meet production needs- Maintain records of maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
  • Maintain an established comprehensive P.M. schedule on assigned equipment.
  • Assist in equipment rebuilding activities and engineering projects.
  • Perform timely equipment change-over as required by the production schedule.
  • Assist operators on equipment set-up to ensure proper operation.
  • Comply with all work safety practices and environmental rules.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment.
  • Assist in maintaining the facility as needed.
  • Able to respond to situations where shifting priorities are common and difficult conditions happen.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment.

Hand Tools/Equipment Used:
  • Various maintenance tools. 
  • Ladders 
  • Safety glasses with side shields, work gloves, steel toe shoes or steel covered slip on, and other PPE required in production areas.

Balancing: Constantly-Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent from falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. 
Stooping: Frequently- Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching:   Frequently-Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Constantly-  Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing:Constantly- For sustained periods of time.
Walking: Constantly- Not for long distances, but within work area, to retrieve work materials.
Pushing: Frequently-  Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward. 
Pulling:Frequently-   Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Frequently – Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
Fingering: Constantly – Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with the fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping:   Constantly –   Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Feeling: Constantly – Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Talking- Occasionally- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken words.
Hearing – Constantly- Perceiving the nature of sounds. Ability to interpret oral communication.
Repetitive Motions:Constantly-Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, head and/or fingers.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Must be able to exert force on a constant basis to move heavy objects/materials in excess of 100 pounds.
Work Environment:  This job operates inside, including hot and cold temperatures, and works around moving equipment.  May be exposed to airborne dust and will be required to wear safety apparel, such as safety glasses, and gloves, as necessary.  Seasonally the worker is subject to extreme heat, temperature above 100 degrees. The worker is subject to noise there is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the noise level. The worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such proximity to moving mechanical parts and potential exposure to chemicals. The worker may be required to wear protective equipment. Hearing protection and dust musk is optional and is available.

  • Ability to perform work safely.
  • Ability to use math and understand and calculate measurements, fractions and weight scales and document accordingly. 
  • Must be able to use a tape measure.
  • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills on electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, & hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, plumbing and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control circuits.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC’s, drives and other various hardware.
  • Welding and metal fabrication.
  • Ability to operate machinery. 
  • Ability to perform physical labor involving heavy work, exerting in excess of 100lbs of force with some frequency. 
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the shift. 
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas, request, and problems to fellow employees and supervisors on a one-to-one basis, as well as over the phone and in written form.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be capable of learning and comprehending job assignments, possess good memory and recall abilities, troubleshoot problems and independently implement solutions.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
